Won't You Say You Will

Written & Sung: W. Egan; Guitar: L. Buckingham; Backup Vocal: S. Nicks. L. Buckingham

When my time is only Passing me from day to day And I'm feeling lonely About the best thing I can say You will understand me Nevermind what they try to hand me Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Take me to your heart, dear Won't you say you will? Once I lost a good thing I just let it slip away But now I'm lost and looking Trying to find that thing today Will you ever hear me? Say "I need you near me" Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Take me to your heart, dear Won't you say you will? Find a way to help me see me Find the higher place Don't you know only you can free me From this crazy chase Find a way to help me see me Find the better place Don't you know only you can free me From this crazy chase Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Take me to your heart, dear Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will? Won't you say you will...

While the verses on this song drag a bit, I really like the chorus and its harmonies from Stevie and Lindsey, and of course, Walter's lead is good, too! I especially like the "take me to your heart, dear" and, after listening to this song to transcribe it, found myself humming it the rest of the day. So to sum up, a fun song with a good chorus...too bad you have to wade through the verses to get there, but luckily, they're short.
