Note Lindsey's sarcasm when he introduces EmptyShell. Some friends had just made it to the gig (at the end of Born to Be Wild) and we wanted them to hear the new song, regardless of the crowd there. The song was so new when we did it that Lindsey hadn't properly learned all the lyrics, so he just sang what he remembered.
