Raining in My Heart

Written: Bryant/Bryant; Sung: L. Sayer; Guitar & Backup Vocal: L. Buckingham

The sun is out, the sky is blue There's not a cloud to spoil the view But it's raining, raining in my heart  The weatherman says, "Fine today" He doesn't know that you've gone away And it's raining, raining in my heart Oh, oh, misery, oh, misery Oh, what's gonna become of me, oh I tell myself my blues won't show But I know that soon all my tears will flow Come raining down, raining in my heart Oh, oh, misery, oh, you misery Oh, what's gonna become of me, oh The sun is out, the sky is blue There's not a cloud to spoil the view But it's raining, oh, it's raining in my heart

While Leo Sayer may not be a familiar name to many of you, he's the guy behind that beautiful ballad "When I Need You." Now this one isn't nearly as good as that one, but it's not bad. The verse is a little dull, but I love the "oh, oh, misery, oh misery....what's going to become of me?" part. While it's formulaic in some ways, I would still say it's a pretty good tune.
