What Have I Been Waiting For?

Written: J. Zadorozny; Guitar & Backup Vocal: L. Buckingham

I just need your love, I don't need your blessing I don't need the sound of these people confessing I don't want to know what I can or can't be I can feel the devil and God inside me I just want a heart that can make me breathe it I can feel love, but I can't see it I can be love, I can be inside you You can see yourself, girl, better when I do Hey, hey, what do you say? People in the sun got to feel the rain Hey, hey, what can you say? To feel a little a love, you've got to feel some pain I can be alone, I can be in Thailand I feel at home and safe and leave this island We could fly around or just let the sun in You can be queen, and I, the sultan High above the sky and the global warming High above the sea and the planet's falling We'll be alone with the world inside you Listen to the boy next door beside you Hey, hey, what do you say? People in the sun got to feel the rain Hey, hey, what can you say? To feel a little love, you've got to feel some pain All my life, I've been waiting What have I been waiting for? Come on, come on, come on Come on, come on, come on Come on, come on, come on Come on, come on, come on Hey, hey, what do you say? People in the sun got to feel the rain Hey, hey, what can you say? To feel a little love, you've got to feel some pain All my life, I've been waiting What have I been waiting for? Hey... Hey... Hey, hey, what do you say? Hey, hey, what do you say? Hey, hey, what do you say? Hey, hey, what do you say? Hey, hey, what do you say?

I couldn't quite understand all of the lyics, but overall I like the song. It has a nice buildup to the title line - but I could do without all the "cha! cha! cha!" at the end (I didn't bother to transcribe all of those).
