WEBMISTRESS speculates:

OK, I'm just gonna admit this now, I really have no idea what he's saying during parts of this song; what you see above is my best guess. I suppose since it's a demo, he wasn't taking much care to enunciate his words! Heck, he probably hadn't decided what lyrics he wanted to use at all and was just trying out how stuff sounded. At any rate, it's hard to analyze lyrics when their accuracy is hit and miss at best. Frankly, the second line of the chorus which I put as "Babe, you'll never feel it before" - I KNOW that one's wrong, but I simply could not even begin to guess what he's really saying there. If anybody's got a suggestion, e-mail me.

But I do know that the song is filled from head to toe with suggestive sounds that are like the ending of Big Love times ten...and more realistically rendered as well! I tried to write down what they sort of sounded like...but you get the idea. Yowser! Anyway, my interpretation on this song is as follows: this song is about hot sex administered by one Lindsey Buckingham. I may not really understand who did it and why, but I think I get the gist of what's being done! And apparently Lindsey's ready for action - "I'm gonna knock, knock down your door" - you go, sugar!

KELLY speculates:

Is Lindsey's response to Stand Back. For sure. The lyrics were written in the eighties and put to music in the nineties. Look at the lyrics. Is there any doubt now? The lines..."standing in a line" and "take me home" are obvious nods to stand back and the "I found out" is about her wedding. So..she is telling him..you will now have to wait in line for me along with all the others, cause I am now taken, ie married. So he responds with..."I am gonna wear you down".
