This song is pretty straightforward: love is dangerous. You can get hurt, so you'd better be careful who you fall in love with! I think the reference to the "hearts made of crystal [that] crumble like castles in the sand" is interesting - the song Crystal is one of the few Stevie/Lindsey true love songs. That love is gone, that crystal had crumbled. All of her "visions" (see Dreams) have come to nothing, "it's too good to be true." This is a very pessimistic song! Still, there's a positive note in the bridge: maybe this time, "this is mine." Maybe, for once, it'll work out.
