In the style of Insider and Needles and Pins, Tom and Stevie harmonize on this duet throughout. While it was rerecorded without Stevie, Tom says in his liner notes he likes this version better. He relates, "Right after I wrote it Stevie drifted into my house...it was very late at night and I played her the demo and she said, 'Wow, what a great song' and we sat around singing it over and over into this ghetto blaster." So that's the story behind Stevie's work on this song!
