Castaway

Written by S. Nicks

He's a castaway He knows I don't really see him He could leave today He's a castaway He says that I could leave him today But I could never offer freedom, freedom He's a castaway He knows I don't really see him He could leave today He's a castaway He could leave today But I could never offer freedom Freedom...freedom Offer freedom Oh, livin' in a hole Was it your world or just my darkness? Nowhere to go There are angels running from the heartless Heartless...heartless...heartless Oh, livin' in a hole Was it your world or just my darkness? Nowhere to go There are angels running from the heartless Heartless...from the heartless There are angels runnin' from the heartless Play another role in your mystery..changes Mystery...changes Your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Ooh, talkin' 'bout my mystery...changes Ooh, my mystery, my mystery changes You're my mystery, but my mystery changes Ooh, my mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout my mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery, ooh, changes Talkin' 'bout your mystery, mystery...changes Talkin' 'bout your, 'bout your mystery, mystery...changes Mystery...changes Mystery...changes Mystery...changes Mystery...changes...

WEBMISTRESS speculates:

Since this is just a demo and not a finished song, I think we can forgive Stevie's lyrics for being a tad repetitive and puzzling here! The basics I glean: she's got a travelin' man who has a dark side. He doesn't like to be tied down, but he does like her "mystery" and "changes," as she reiterates quite a few times! But, of course, as I said earlier, it's only a demo.
