WEBMISTRESS speculates:
This song has that old-fashioned sixtes girl-group feel to it. Who's Jimmy? I don't know, but in some ways he sounds like Lindsey - especially the part where it talks about how moody he is, but she likes that moodiness, although she felt trapped between "desire and my loneliness for you." I doubt this is really talking about Lindsey, but it's the best I can do!
JESSICA speculates:
Wouldn't Jimmy be Jimmy Iovine, Stevie's producer? On the Stevie BTM he said something like he couldn't work with Stevie anymore and he walked out of the studio while the Rock a Little album was being recorded.
RENEE speculates:
This definitely about Jimmy Iovine. On the liner notes for Edge of Seventeen for Best of cd she writes that her and Jimmy lived together for a short time. I don't know if their love relationship lasted past Bella Donna, but I think this song is about their breakup and that she is sorry for what caused it to end and that she wants him back.
This has to be about Jimmy Iovine.Stevie must have truly loved this guy as she never names her lovers in her lyrics. This is a finky track and it is a shame it was never released.
