I Want You Back

 Written & Sung: S. Ross & L. Buckingham; Guitar, Keyboards: L. Buckingham

[Stephen in green; Lindsey in red; Together in blue]

We run around in circles Like a dog without a home Since you went and left me I'm lonely to the bone I want you back (I want you) I want you back again I want you back (I want you) I want you back again Sitting right behind me Is a girl I know She puttered 'round the palace And kept men on their toes I want you back (I want you) I want you back again I want you back (I want you) I want you back again I want you back (I want you) I want you back again I want you back (I want you) I want you back again I want you back I want you back I want you back I want you back I want you back I want you back I want you back I want you back...

WEBMISTRESS speculates:

Lindsey spends the verses harmonizing with Ross, but sings most of the chorus, so I guess, if you stretch, it's a duet. There, Lindsey's background vocals sound eerily like they were lifted from his song I Want You!

SCOTT speculates:

Though Ross co-wrote the song, I believe Lindsey does all of the vocals. If you think Ross is the near falsetto high parts, list to how the word "again" is sung, clearly the Buckingham accent is heard. Great little pop tune that reminds me a bit of "Can't Go Back".
