Hello! My name is Nancy and, as you might have guessed by now, I LOVE Fleetwood Mac! They caught my attention in 1997 with Silver Springs and The Dance and they haven't lost it since! As for me, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Master's in English in 2000, and I'm currently working on my PhD in Literature from Purdue. As for what I do for a living, I teach Composition and Rhetoric at Purdue for remission of tuition and a pathetic monthly stipend (see my academic site here). Now I'll answer that burning question:
What's the deal with this site?

I hope you enjoy it. My main purpose was to make a combo site for both Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, a two for one site where people can enjoy two of the most talented, complex, and fascinating people around.

When it comes to the "speculations", don't think me too terribly arrogant - despite my pretensions to greatness, I do realize that I don't know everything (shh, don't tell!) So, please, feel free to share your opinions on the songs as well!

Really, writing an opinion on a song is just a form of poetry explication - that special kind of poetry known as lyrics - by those musical poets named Buckingham and Nicks. All we can do is try to guess what they mean through contextual clues and analysis, just as we would for Milton or Shakespeare (how's that for a comparison?) But it's true, it's the same type of thing. And if we're off the mark, at least we had fun trying!

Oh, and don't be shy, I think it's safe to say neither object of our affection will come around here checking us for accuracy! :-)
